**Basilisk brings permissionless liquidity to Kusama. Swap tokens or flip NFTs and earn rewards** - this is the TLDR for what Basilisk offers, but with the imminent launch of our NFT Marketplace through the KodaDot UI, and (further down the line) our Auctions pallet - a question arises around what we can do to properly incentivise users of our NFT platform.

**The Basilisk Council has recently approved a prize pool of up to $22,222 worth of BSX to be shared amongst the top 10 NFT projects that choose Basilisk as the home for their collections** - winners will be chosen at the discretion of the Council, based on a number of factors. Entrants have ~3 weeks to take part (from mainnet launch). We believe that this prize pool will bring some initial interest to kick-start the NFT scene on Basilisk Network, but it is by no means a long term solution comparable to our innovative Liquidity Mining programme on Snek Swap.

I wanted to start this discussion around long-term solutions for encouraging artists to mint their collections on Basilisk. **I am interested in hearing from Basilisk Community members, as well as NFT artists themselves, maybe even professional jpeg flipooooorrrss**; some thoughts for starters:

- we are looking for good quality projects, not mass minting mayhem for the sake of it
- what are the "measures of success" of a project?
- how do we prevent these measures from being gamed? i.e. wash trading to achieve high volumes
- what are the best ways to incentivise? Bounties for launching? Rewards based on milestones? Support/ funding for development? 
- should these funds come from the treasury, or the ~38% of supply currently earmarked for Liquidity Mining?

- what other, broader support can we offer to artists?
- is there anything missing from our Marketplace that you feel is critical to it being a success?
